Change of Plans

My friend, Caitlin, and I had plans to meet at Tatu for dinner tonight.

I walked over to Power Plant, looking forward to trying Tatu for the first time!

However, when I reached for the front door of Tatu, it was locked!

Apparently, it’s only open Tuesday thru Sunday!  Boooo!!!

Once Caitlin arrived we altered our plans and decided on Kona Grill for dinner instead.

I had been to Kona Grill before for dinner with Brian and loved it so I was excited to get back and try some other things that they have to offer.

Since it was such a nice day here in Baltimore, we decided to sit on the outdoor patio to enjoy the weather.

The patio opens completely, allowing you to take in the city while you enjoy your meal.

In the colder weather, this area offers fire pits for diners to sit by and enjoy cocktails or dinner.

In addition, the patio area also joins to the back side of the bar.

For dinner, Caitlin and I shared a BBQ Chicken Flatbread.

And we each ordered some sushi as well.  I went with the spicy tuna roll and the crab special roll.

Definitely not a bad change of plans on the evening!!!  Great food and awesome happy hour deals.  Can’t beat that!!!!

After dinner Caitlin and I walked together to where her car was parked and I continued on my way home.

I decided to pass through Little Italy and make a stop for some gelato at Vaccaro’s,  an Italian pastries shop.

When my sister and I were young, every time we were downtown having dinner in Little Italy, we would beg our parents for a stop at Vaccaro’s for dessert.

I'll follow that motto!!!

My go-to gelato was always Chocolate Chip and tonight was no different.  However, the peanut butter fudge also caught my eye so I got a scoop of each to enjoy on the rest of my walk home.

Takes me back to my childhood :)

Off to enjoy my guilty pleasure TV while taking it easy for the night.  90210 and Gossip Girl?  Yes, please!

I hate when restaurants have weird hours! There’s a place that I have been trying to go to foreeever, but it never works out. At least you had a good substitute!
