Last night before I went to bed, I posted a tweet committing myself to a great workout this morning to start off a healthy day.
When I got out of bed today, my body was stiff and the last thing I wanted to do was hit the pavement or workout in general but I remembered my tweet and stuck to it!
It’s amazing how far a little commitment really can take you…
I started off this morning by completely rocking out a speedy three-mile run. I felt like I started out a little slow, so I was pleasantly surprised when I finished my first mile in under 8 minutes. And the speed just continued to increase from there!
When I finished my second mile, my time was 15 minutes and change and mile 3 clocked in at 22:59. Overall, I felt really great out there and was beyond happy with my time.
My run had me amped up to get back inside and finish my workout off with a circuit strength workout focusing on hamstrings, biceps and back involving trisets, cardio intervals and complete body exercises to keep my heart rate up and my blood circulating!
Another tough one like yesterday’s front of the body workout!
After such a great workout, I put together a quick protein smoothie to refuel my muscles.
Bananas, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter and soy milk…the usual!
The rain has finally left Daejeon and the sun is shining so I’m off to make the best of this day!
Does committing to a workout the night before help you stick with it the following morning? How do you get yourself commit?
