One Minute Drill

by Jenny on January 16, 2012

Day three of a three-day weekend today and I’m excited to spend some extra time with Brian before heading back to work for the week. We are going to try to make the day as productive as possible!

I got my metabolism revving first thing this morning with a 30 minute at-home workout that I am calling the “One Minute Drill” with core emphasis.

Do each exercise for one minute and repeat the entire 10 minute circuit three times through with a 30-second break between sets.

This definitely got my sweating and by keeping my core engaged throughout, I was feeling the burn!

I was feeling lazy when it came to prepping breakfast again so a bowl of mixed cereal was the decision.

Special K pecan crunch with Fiber One honey squares.

Topped with almond milk.

If you have this Monday off, I hope you enjoy it!! And if not, I hope you enjoy your day at work just the same!!! Off to get some stuff done! :)

Of the cardio exercises in my workout today (jumping jacks, high knees, skaters, jump rope and mountain climbers) which is your least favorite? I absolutely hate doing mountain climbers…maaah!

Looks like an awesome and quick workout! Good moves for the whole body… Q, what are skaters and how do you do a standing side crunch?

Dude, I hate all of those exercises with a passion! I’m going to be doing the Tough Mudder next month and need to start using your drills. But the idea makes me too sad. Great job though! You’re awesome :)

Do you do your mountain climbers standing up, or on all fours? I hate high knees, so I think vertical mountain climbers are just as bad. Although my very least favorite drill exercise is jump-lunges!

I do them on all fours. And I hate jump-lunges too…yuck!!
