Before getting to this morning’s workout and breakfast, let me give you a look at last night’s dessert.
Out of this world.
And so simple.
I toasted a pumpkin vitatop and sliced it in half. I topped the bottom half with a half serving of pumpkin pudding (Jello instant pudding that I put together with skim milk), added the second half of the vitatop and then finished it off with the rest of the pumpkin pudding, coolwhip free and a sprinkle of chocolate chips. Love.
Breakfast
Before hitting the gym this morning I had breakfast of an english muffin topped with peanut butter, frozen banana and dates to fuel me through my workout.
Workout
Original plan for this morning was 10 miles and a Group Power class.
Lead legs = change of plans.
I ran 6.6 miles and my legs were heavier with each step so I slowed down the pace and walked out the last 3.4 miles to still make my goal of 10 on the morning.
Since I couldn’t make it through the 10 miles, I knew I was not going to be able to put my legs through a whole Group Power class so I hit the freeweight area and busted out my arms/legs cardio circuit. Still a little rough on the legs!
After I was done, I spent A LOT of time stretching and foam rolling. I ended up being at the gym for almost 3 hours…best way to start my Saturday!
Once my workout was complete my day was pretty nonstop!
I had my football game (which we won!) and then hurried home to get ready for a bridal shower for one of my closest friends from high school. While I was getting ready I snacked on a Pumpkin Pudding Smoothie…I was starving and knew it would hold me over until I got to the party, where I knew a ton of yummy food would be served.
Ingredients
- pinch of xanthan gum
- 2 tbsp. whey protein powder
- 1 serving pumpkin pudding
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- baby spinach
Pretty much our whole group of friends from high school was at Jen’s shower and we all had a great time. I love spending time with them and catching up! And of course there was tons of delicious food to munch on as well.
Jen’s a runner and the favors at the shower were cute running shoe and jersey cookies! So adorable! I’m saving mine until Easter morning!!
Dinner was a mix from the salad bar at Whole Foods…
Annnnd possibly this whole container of Pumpkin Crumblettes…whoops! :/
