After I was nice and sweaty, I moved to the mats to do day 1 and 2 of BessBeFit’s May Ab Challenge. I didn’t get to start yesterday, so I figured I would do yesterday and today’s exercises to catch up. Boy oh boy – they aren’t easy!! I can’t wait to see my abs at the end of the month if the exercises continue like this! Check out this post and this one to see what the ab work was for each day. I’ll let Bess do the demo photos
Dinner
After my workout I went home for a quick shower and was on my way to pick up Katie for dinner. We had already decided to go to Jason’s Deli which just recently opened in her area. She had been before but I was excited to get a chance to try it out.
I loved the set up of ordering at one end and being able to watch them make your order at the long ingredients bar if you wanted to. I checked out the menu before we went so I was ready to order when we walked in.
Mixed greens salad that was topped with grapes, apples, dried fruit, organic chicken, cheese and lots of nuts and seeds. So delicious!!! I also ordered some steamed veggies on the side.
While we were waiting for our food, I checked out the salad bar that they have to offer. Everything looked delicious and fresh and definitely will be taking advantage of that the next time I visit the deli!!
Overall, I was a huge fan of Jason’s Deli. They pride themselves on being a “healthy” restaurant and I found this on their website supporting that statement.
“At Jason’s Deli, we’re all about healthy food. We’ve even been named “One of the 10 Best Restaurants in America!” in the July 2009 issue of Parents Magazine. Our food has no high fructose corn syrup, trans fats or MSG. We just serve health, fresh and even organic foods. From sandwiches to salads, Jason’s Deli offers healthy food that everyone can feel good about. And it’s not only healthy food – it’s delicious food.”
The best part about it?
Free ice cream for everyone!
Don’t mind if I do!!!
Off to spend some time with my sister. Have a great night!
