Monday, April 16th
Today Grandma and Sheila took me outside to see how I would behave off my leash! Do I need to tell you the word “behave” may not be on my word list! We started out on a nice walk and headed to the sticks with flags. I knew what they wanted me to do so I plopped my behind down on the soft grass and firmly planted my front paws. I was hoping they would pull on the leash and I would just turn my pretty head, pull back and then I would be free! Drat…when I think I have the deal figured out Grandma always changes the rules. Grandma and Sheila are saying, “Good boy Telli!” What the heck last week I was a bad boy for trying to get my head out of my collar! I can’t win! Oh but wait…oh yes I can!!! Grandma is taking my leash off…and POW, I take off like a rocket!!! I run all over…I run around the back of the house up to the waterfall. Grandma and Sheila finally catch up to me. I want to cross the stream. Sheila thinks I am going to jump it and because she said that out loud…I decide “NOT!” I will walk through the water and get my feet wet!
Aunt Jeremy has taught me about water over at the Liberty Dam (Not the bad word kind according to Aunt Jeremy).
I come out of the water running so fast. See if you can see me go by.
Better yet try and catch me. Hear me singing, “Run, run, run just as fast as you can…You can’t catch me I’m the Telli-man”! I run until I cannot run any more. Grandma and Sheila have a hard time getting me up off the soft blanket of green that I am laying on and also nibbling.
I rest the remainder of the day, after our chores of course!
Tuesday, April 17th
Today I snuck upstairs to Mommy’s room because I saw Aunt Katie’s bedroom door open. I took a chance that Mommy’s door would be open too. Yeppers, I am sooooo smart I was soooo right. Time to sneak a few toys!!!! YAY!!! Grandma catches me and me and took the toy away. I saw where she put it!!! Haha! I can get it! I now know how to move the kitchen chairs with my body and I can reach with my long legs to scoot things closer. I snatched that toy that plays music. I love this toy. While Grandma was putting Telli jail on the stairs! She heard me Drat.
“Telli the air conditioning is broken…I need the fans upstairs to make it cooler down here you cannot go upstairs!” Yeah…yeah…yeah! I was so hot I had to just…just…just take a nap! I was sleeping and snoring under the kitchen table, when a man came to the door…I heard him and I jumped up barking. Barking so loud that I scared Grandma and the man! The man came in the house and talked to Grandma. I didn’t like the man so I put myself in backup mode and barked and kept backing up! This man stayed a long time going in and out of the house. Grandma called him a repair man. Do you think I care…I don’t have those words on my word list either. I’m hot and I am panting and I don’t like him one bit! Even when he kneels down and offers me a treat! The only good thing I can say is he must have had some of Wulfe’s magic because when he left the house started to get cooler.
Wednesday, April 18th
Happy Wednesday!!! I go to my place of employment to give Sheila her hugs and kisses. There is water falling from the sky today! I do not like when the water falls on my cute but “battle-scarred” face! I do not like when it falls on my back either! I give my usual hugs and kisses to my girl Sheila! We have a lot of work to do today. I finish my share early so I take a nap in my personal office space.
Grandma comes to get me and asks, “Where is the Wulfe?” Sheila says “because of the water falling from the sky he wanted to stay home.” Grandma says, “We have to hurry Telli, I left the groceries on the kitchen table!” So I hop up into my shotgun seat.
Then something goes across the front window. I try to get it but it does “Wulfe magic” just like the fish. Grandma says, “They are Windshield Wipers Telli”. Do you think I care what they are I just want to taste them!
Test number two of the week. Grandma isn’t going in backup mode with the house on wheels. Just wait a minute!!!! We are going by Mommy’s house out the long driveway. I start to get nervous…this isn’t the way home!!! But I don’t whine like I do when I go with Sheila. I don’t think I made Grandma unhappy enough with me to send me on an airplane and we do not have the boxes on wheels or my crate. So after running the check list for airplanes through my head I just sat down and relaxed. Oh boy I know where I am I am going in the other driveway. I see grandma’s house and I am one happy camper!
Thursday, April 19th
Today is a much nicer day. I made a new friend on the other side of the glass wall in the den. He was blue and very pretty. He was not afraid of me because I didn’t bark at him. I didn’t bark at him because I knew his head hurt! He hit it hard on the clean glass wall! Ouch!!!
Grandma and me are preparing for Earth Day. We went to the basement and got all the stuff with wires that hang off them to give the school so they could get money. Grandma said Big Mike will take all the old speakers and Monitors to Aunt Katie’s School. I don’t care I just would like to have one of those wires to chew! Just one please!
After dinner Aunt Jeremy and Uncle Shane come to get me. We are going for a walk in Soldier’s Delight! I love to go with Aunt Jeremy and Uncle Shane it is sort of like being with Mommy and Daddy…sort of!!! When we get home Aunt Jeremy tells Grandma she almost had a HEART ATTACK because I got loose and wanted to run. Yes I wanted to run but I decided to be nice to Aunt Jeremy and let her catch me. I thought she was going to cry! I hate to see girl’s cry!
Grandma, Aunt Jeremy and Uncle Shane and I go outside so I could show them how well I run. And Run I did! Uncle Shane could not catch me! I was singing, “Run, run, run just as fast as you can…you can’t catch me I am the Telli-man”. I think I will make that my theme song!
